In this role, you will:
- Partner with various departments and provide tax expertise.
- Contribute to the strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting of the various Cameco entities.
- Compile, analyze, report and defend royalty and tax information for internal and external disclosures.
- Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required, including proactively participating in the identification and development of efficient, value-added processes.
Required:
-Canadian Chartered Professional Accounting (CPA) designation;
-bachelors degree in commerce, accounting, finance, or a related field;
-five to 10 years of relevant work experience, with a focus on Canadian tax compliance;
knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
-completion or enrollment in the CPA Canada in-depth tax course; and
-ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
Recommended:
-ability to prioritize assignments, manage multiple deadlines and organize work independently;
-experience in a large multi-national enterprise with a tax provision component or equivalent;
-experience using ERP software (SAP);
-high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel; and
-results-oriented, proactive, with a mindset of continuous improvement.
