Our Saskatoon location is growing and looking for a mechanic to join our team in a full time role.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for ongoing preventative maintenance and repair of a wide variety of equipment, both mobile and stationary
- Hands on troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, overhaul, and maintenance of trucks and heavy equipment used in waste hauling, and commercial trash compaction equipment and balers
- Dealing with breakdowns in the shop, on the road, and at customer sites
- Adherence to company, and customer site safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum valid Class 5 drivers license with acceptable abstract required as a condition of employment.
- Journeyperson Certificate not required, but considered a favorable asset
- Prefer experience with heavy equipment, truck and transport trailers, or industrial mechanics
- Experience in electronic and pneumatic control systems, diagnostics on control systems hardware and software problems is an asset
- Able to work both in a team environment and unsupervised
- Good communication skills
- Own Tools/Equipment preferred, some available on site
- Steel-toed safety boots
