Description

SaskBuilds and Procurement offers meaningful work supporting government infrastructure and service delivery across the province. The ministry is seeking a fulltime Facility Service Worker in La Ronge to help maintain safe, functional, and welloperated government buildings. This role supports daily facility operations and contributes to ensuring reliable environments for programs and services.

The ideal candidate is physically capable, safetyminded, and comfortable performing handson building and grounds maintenance. They should work well under direction, assist others with repairs, and handle a mix of indoor and outdoor tasks. Strong awareness of safety practices, attention to equipment readiness, and reliability in completing assigned requests are important. Candidates must be prepared to climb ladders, lift heavy objects, operate manual and powered grounds equipment, and maintain accurate maintenance records.

Key knowledge and qualifications include a workinglevel understanding of building operations and maintenance, the ability to perform manual labour, a valid drivers licence, and either possession of a Fireman Boiler Operator Certificate or the ability to obtain it within twelve months. Practical experience with maintenance tools, equipment, and facility safety expectations is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities include completing daytoday building and grounds maintenance, assisting coworkers with repairs, ensuring life safety equipment is operational, responding to client requests, and updating information in maintenance management software.
