Candidates must be adaptable, willing to work in both shop and field settings, and prepared for travel that may include overnight stays. A strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work safely and collaboratively are essential.
Key qualifications include holding a second, third, or fourthyear apprentice certificate in Truck Transport, Heavy Duty, or Agricultural Technician trades. Applicants who have completed mechanical preemployment training may also be considered. The ability to follow direction, contribute to preventative maintenance routines, and assist with mechanical repairs on diverse equipment types is important for success in the role.
Responsibilities include supporting mechanical repairs, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting in both inshop and fieldbased service delivery while gaining the skills required to advance toward journeyperson certification.
