Description

SaskBuilds and Procurement supports the provinces Growth Plan by delivering infrastructure, facility management, procurement, logistics, and IT services. The Property Management team is seeking a motivated Building Operator in Saskatoon to help ensure safe, comfortable, and wellmaintained facilities for clients and occupants. This role is essential in supporting customer service, operational readiness, and building safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a strong problemsolver and reliable team member who can also provide effective supervision to staff. They work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate solid judgment when responding to client needs. Candidates should bring broad knowledge of building repair and maintenance practices, the ability to apply safety and cleaning standards, and comfort working in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and performing outdoor work such as lawn care and snow removal.

To qualify, applicants should have a Firemans Boiler Operator Certificate and a Refrigeration Engineer Certificate or a 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate, along with at least two years of experience in building maintenance, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Experience with DDC controls is an asset, and a valid drivers licence is required. The role also performs routine repairs, preventative maintenance, equipment operation, stock management, and security procedures while ensuring compliance with ministry safety standards and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
