Rheinland Transportation is a Saskatchewan-based Transportation company serving Western Canada and North West USA. We are looking for a full-time Bookkeeper in our Saskatoon office to complete twice a month payroll and support day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
-Process payroll, including timecards, employee changes, benefits, RRSPs, and Records of Employment
-Prepare and submit government filings and remittances (source deductions, GST, PST, WCB, income tax installments)
-Complete WCB reporting and maintain related records
-Maintain financial documentation and filing systems (digital and hard copy)
-Communicate with departments to ensure timely, accurate financial information
-Support administrative tasks including mail handling and office equipment coordination
Qualifications
-Business Accountancy Diploma or equivalent education
-1-2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, fixed asset and internal-use software accounting experience is an asset
-Experience with payroll processes
-Proficient in Microsoft Excel
-Strong attention to detail and accuracy
-Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
-Professional discretion when handling confidential information
Tasks
- Prepare statements of earnings for employees, indicating gross and net salaries and deductions such as taxes, garnishments and insurance and pension plans
- Store, update and retrieve financial data
- Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems
- Inform employees about payroll matters and benefit plans
- Maintain payroll
- Maintain records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using manual or computerized systems
