The Rural Municipality of Pense No. 160 invites applications from qualified individuals for the position of Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Administrator, this is a permanent part-time position consisting of three days per week. In addition, the successful candidate may cover the office while the Administrator attends meetings, conventions or is on holidays.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ADMINISTRATIVE - receptionist services, replying to emails, processing payments, relaying messages, ordering office supplies, data entry, creating reports and procedures, filing, mail, & photocopying
FINANCIAL payroll, deposits, bank reconciliation, accounts receivable & payable
Education and Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent (GED)
-Administrative experience with knowledge of office management systems and procedures
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
-Knowledge of municipal operations, specifically in municipal software MuniSoft would be a definite asset
-Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
-Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
-Discretion with matters pertaining to confidentiality
-Ability to interpret policies, bylaws, and legislation appropriately when responding to situations and requests
-Interest in obtaining a Certificate in Local Government Administration
