Description

Flying Dust First Nation is currently accepting applications for a Casual Equipment Operator to support the Operations and Maintenance Division. This role is suited for a dependable, safety-focused individual available on an on-call basis to support community maintenance activities.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
    Operate heavy and light equipment (loader, grader, skid steer, backhoe, mower, dump truck, etc.) as required
    Assist with road maintenance, snow removal, water and sewer services, and general community maintenance
    Perform daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
    Follow all safety regulations and operational procedures
    Work cooperatively with O&M staff and Manager
    Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Education and Experience Requirements:
    Valid drivers license
    Experience operating heavy equipment is required
    Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
    Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
    Strong work ethic and dependability
    Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
