Job Description: The Assessor Coordinator Degree is the primary coordinator of client admissions. The incumbent is responsible for review of community Mental Health and Addiction assessments, screening, consultation, data collection, organizing, communicating client admissions, client/family and community education. The incumbent will adhere to the current Provincial Clinical Addiction Model for practice and SHA philosophy, objectives and standards, be familiar with current drugs of abuse, concurrent disorders, and withdrawal management strategies. The incumbent will work with staff including but not limited to nursing, psychology, management, senior staff to triage acute medical, mental health, and detoxification concerns. The incumbent will work in collaboration with the Manager regarding program development to ensure continuous improvement occurs using evidence based information. The incumbent is responsible for providing case consultation, case assignment, and orientation. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
