Description

The Fishing Lake Store Manager reports to the FLFN Ventures General Manager and Board of Directors. This role provides daytoday operational leadership and ensures safe, efficient, and profitable store operations. The Manager safeguards assets, protects shareholder investment, and maintains high customer service standards.

Duties & Responsibilities:  
Supervise staff, including hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluations.
Schedule employees, assign duties, and monitor work results.
Oversee timecards and ensure payroll controls are followed.
Identify customer needs and maintain strong relationships with guests and vendors.
Represent the Store in the community as a goodwill ambassador.
Develop and implement marketing plans, goals, and business strategies.
Track sales, pricing, and business performance.
Manage inventory, stock rotation, pricing, and yearend counts.
Maintain controls for floats, cash handling, and accounts receivable.
Ensure POS systems and related hardware/software remain operational.
Maintain workplace safety, cleanliness, and physical security.
Ensure required permits and insurance are in place.
Review financial performance, set budgets, monitor results, and address variances.
Develop, implement, and update policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:  
Postsecondary training in business administration preferred.
Minimum 3 years experience in store operations and supervision.
Knowledge of business management and governance.
Valid drivers licence.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and basic accounting.
Strong communication, leadership, planning, and decisionmaking skills.
Ability to interpret policies, direct staff, and delegate tasks effectively.
