Description

The Ministry of Social Services supports positive outcomes for individuals and families by delivering programs in income support, child and family services, disability supports, and affordable housing.

The Ministry is seeking dedicated and compassionate Child Protection Workers to join its team in a Northern Saskatchewan location, offering a unique Drive In and Drive Out work rotation based in Meadow Lake. We recognize the importance employees place on having flexibility in their work and the balance between work and family. We have the unique opportunity to offer candidates interested in. This opportunity is ideal for individuals committed to improving the safety, wellbeing, and  outcomes of children and families.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, adaptable, and client , with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing complex situations. Candidates must hold a valid Saskatchewan drivers licence and be able to work flexible hours, travel within the service area and province, and transport children or parents as required. Applicants must clearly demonstrate where they acquired their knowledge, skills, and abilities, as selections will be based on this information.

To qualify, candidates must possess a Bachelor of Social Work, Bachelor of Indian Social Work, or an equivalent accredited social work degree approved by the Canadian Association for Social Work Education. Responsibilities include providing protective, preventative, and support services to children and families using the Family Centred Case Management Model, and contributing to current and future staffing through an eligibility list valid for up to six months.
