Description

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson and or detail-oriented Automotive apprentice Technician to inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake service, and fluid checks

Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment

Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering systems, brakes, suspension, and exhaust systems

Conduct vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair recommendations

Test vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper performance and safety

Maintain detailed service records and repair documentation

Follow manufacturer specifications and safety procedures

Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards

Communicate clearly with service advisors or customers regarding repair needs and timelines


Qualifications

High school diploma or GED (technical or vocational training preferred)

Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic

Strong knowledge of vehicle systems (mechanical, electrical, and computerized)

Ability to use diagnostic software and hand/power tools

Valid drivers license

Own mode of transportation

Time management and efficiency in completing repairs

Physical ability to lift heavy components and stand for long periods


Work Environment

Automotive repair shop or dealership

Exposure to noise, fumes, and automotive equipment

May require standing, bending, and lifting throughout the workday, hours may extend passed 5pm if required.
