Description

Key Responsibilities
Identify and manage nuisance, noxious and prohibited weeds while maintaining legislatively required tracking records for RM documents.
Monitor and treat infested areas to prevent further spread of weeds.
Input data into the invasive species management platform as directed by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Collaborate with landowners and businesses to control or eradicate weeds, issuing agreements or orders as necessary.
Enforce The Weed Control Act, the Municipal Weed management program, and related policies.
Recommend actions to ensure landowners compliance and report findings to Administration and Council.
Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to Occupational Health and Safety standards and best practices.

Education and Qualifications
*Valid Class 5 Drivers License and clean abstract
*Valid Saskatchewan Agricultural Pesticide Applicator Licence
*Strong Communication Skills
