Souris Valley Daycare Inc. (SVDC) is hiring for the position of a part time cook.  SVDC offers childcare for 22 subsidized spaces for children from 12 months to 12 years of age.  We are located at 2 Souris Ave in Oungre, Saskatchewan. The successful applicant will report to SVDC Executive Director.

Compensation is negotiable and based on qualifications and experience. Daily start and end times are negotiable but candidate must be available Monday to Friday for a minimum of 20 hours per week.  

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
    Provide nutritious and appealing meals and snacks from an already developed, pre-approved menu
    Meal planning, monitoring supplies, creating grocery lists and the preparation of two snacks and one lunch per day
    Follow dietary guidelines set out by the Ministry of Education and Canadian Food Guide
    Be mindful of allergies and/or sensitivities  
    At times, assist with serving and helping children during meal times

Qualifications:
    Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check dated in the past three months
    Valid Food Safe Certification
    Valid First Aid and CPR, or the willingness to obtain
    18 years or older and legally entitled to work in Canada

Additional Assets
    ECE Level 1, 2 or 3 certification
    Positive attitude
    Ability to work effectively independently as well as in a small team
