Description

Responsibilities:
Assist the Maintenance Manager in scheduling, assigning, and prioritizing tasks to the Maintenance Supervisors.
Monitor progress on projects and report updates or delays to the Maintenance Manager.
Provide mentorship to Maintenance Supervisors; identify development opportunities and collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to provide training opportunities.
Ensure maintenance staff follow safety protocols and use equipment properly.
Assist the Maintenance Manager in developing and implementing best practices and safety procedures for the maintenance department.
Assist with training of maintenance staff.
Generate work orders, purchases orders, and notices as required
Collaborate with Contract & Project Administrator to prepare and circulate tender documents
Collaborate with the Contract & Project Administrator and the Maintenance Supervisors to update the key sheet
Create FOBS and cuts keys for Caretakers and Contractors
Track project and work status and prepare reporting  
Review purchase orders and invoices for consistency and accuracy; assist the accounting department to ensure the prompt payment of invoices
Coordinate and tracks pest control inspections and treatments
Provide coverage for the Dispatch and Scheduling Administrator
Provide general administrative and filing support to the maintenance department
Participate in the on-call rotation.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Certification in a relevant trade is preferred.
5+ years of experience in general property maintenance and repair, or construction management or similar; a suitable combination of education and experience is acceptable.
A Class 5 Drivers license and reliable vehicle
