Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and evaluate a summer play program for children ages 6 to 12.
Offer a variety of activities including sports, games, arts & crafts, and physical literacy, in a structured format.
To promote the summer play program and special events.
Ensure program and facility availability as required for special events and guests.
To check equipment on a regular basis and report any deficiencies to supervisor.
Ensure the safety of program participants through proper supervision.
To keep accurate program statistics and compile daily and weekly summaries of activities.
To provide appropriate supervision of program participants as directed.
To plan, implement and evaluate family friendly community Park Parties during the summer months.
Qualifications:
Preference will be given to post-secondary students enrolled in or planning to enroll in a recognized Recreation, Community Development, Leisure Studies or Education Program.
Experience working with children.
Ability to work well with volunteers and the general public.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Possession of a valid recognized First Aid/CPR Certificate is required.
Possess and maintain an RCMP Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector clearance.
Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Drivers License.
