POSITION SUMMARY
Cumberland Villas is seeking a dependable and experienced Full-Time Cook to independently prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residents in our 55+ Independent Living community. This role requires the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining consistent food quality, safety, and cleanliness in a senior living environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
    Independently prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion standards.
    Complete all food preparation tasks including chopping, slicing, mixing, cooking, and plating.
    Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations.
    Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and proper waste disposal.
    Monitor food quality, taste, and presentation to ensure resident satisfaction.
    Assist with inventory control, stock rotation, and communicating supply needs.
    Work collaboratively with management and other staff while functioning independently during assigned shifts.
    Comply with all Cumberland Villas policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.

SCHEDULING & AVAILABILITY
    Cumberland Villas operates seven (7) days per week.
    The successful candidate must be available to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, days, evenings, and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS
    Previous experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen, or senior living environment preferred.
    Strong working knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
    Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
    Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    Good communication skills and a professional, respectful approach with residents and staff.
    Ability to stand for extended periods and perform the physical tasks associated with cooking and kitchen duties.
    Food Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).
