JOB POSTING: OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

ABOUT THE SASKATCHEWAN INSTITUTE OF AGROLOGISTS
The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists (SIA) regulates the profession of agrology in Saskatchewan to protect the public by ensuring safe, competent and ethical practice.

The Saskatchewan Institute of Agrologists is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to provide accurate and efficient administrative and reception support.

Position Type: Full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM  4:30 PM
Location: In-office only (no hybrid work arrangements)
Travel: Some travel within Saskatchewan may be required

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer phones and assist walk-in agrologists and guests
- Handle incoming mail and outgoing correspondence
- Filing
- Order office supplies
- Assist in managing the database
- Process and reconcile daily financial transactions
- Coordinate and attend in-person and online meetings
- Provide executive and clerical support to the Executive Director & Registrar as needed
-Provide administrative support to Council and Committees as needed    
-Coordinate logistics for Council and Committee in-person or virtual meetings

Skills and Abilities
- Positive, cheerful disposition, with the ability to work with volunteers
- Take ownership of tasks and work independently
- Identify opportunities to enhance service and efficiency
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organization skills
- Advanced skills with MS Office and Adobe products
- Ability to learn proprietary software

Education and Experience
- Business diploma or equivalent
- Two (2) years in an administrative role an asset

Other Requirements
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have a valid drivers licence
- Able to travel outside of typical work hours
