Job Description: The Nurse Educator will bring his/her specific expertise to provide a wide range of educational services, clinical support and mentoring to the Primary Health Care Networks. The Nurse Educator, in consultation with the Nursing Manager is responsible for overall planning and implementation of an educational program to address the needs of the staff, patients and their family. The Nurse educator provides development and leadership in the areas of clinical practice, education, research and quality improvement. The Nurse Educator is an experienced nurse who is an expert in the assigned clinical area. The Nurse Educator is a role model for staff in client/family care. The Nurse Educator will use a consultative approach and evidence based research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate.

Experience:
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years experience related to the clinical area within the past five (5) years.
- Requires experience in: a) program/resource development related to needs assessment, planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation; b) teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities; c) experience using EMR and InterRAI assessment tools will be considered an asset.
