SRC has a goal of becoming representative of Indigenous people across all job categories. One of our strategies is
engaging students by providing meaningful work experience to support their career journey. SRC offers Indigenous
students programs such as networking and mentorship to enhance their work experience.
Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils Business Development team is seeking a Business Development Summer
Student, who will support summarizing past SRC projects into clear, accessible case studies that reflect decades
of applied research and innovation. This role offers valuable practical experience, cultural development,
comprehensive training, and structured mentorship in business development, research, and the utilization of
technology-driven tools. This position is a 4-month term, starting in May 2026.
Accountabilities
Assist in the development of a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system which will support
long-term relationship building, knowledge sharing, and data-informed decision-making across SRC
Support Business Intelligence (BI) activities by assisting with research and reporting using subscriptionbased information services
Assist in summarizing SRC technical reports into business development case study formats through the
use of AI-based tools
Participate in business development activities and support proposal development
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution pursuing a degree or diploma related to marketing,
management, or a related field. Science or engineering majors with an interest in business may also be
considered
Experience with online research and search-engine-based information gathering is an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Word, with familiarity in other Microsoft Office applications considered an asset
