The Parliamentary Education Interpreter is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive factual and informative tours of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building focusing on the function of democracy, the Assembly and the building's history and relevance as a historical and modern government institution within Saskatchewan and Canada.
The successful candidate will facilitate informative tours of the Saskatchewan Legislative Building, school group programming, respond to public inquiries and assist in delivering projects, programming and Legislative Assembly special events, including basic research to assist in developing new/expanded programming. Required to work independently with minimal supervision. Weekday and weekend availability required.
Summary of job qualifications:
Grade 12 Diploma with an interest in democratic/parliamentary process, training or experience in public speaking, presentation delivery/stage presence that supports engaging and informative tours; Bilingual (French) proficiency in written and oral language skills; knowledge of Indigenous history and governmental structures and an understanding of the general comparative governmental structures are considered an asset.
