Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Councils Environmental Remediation team is seeking an Environmental Remediation Summer Student who will support the geomatics team and assist the CLEANS team with stakeholder engagement and preparatory activities. This position is a 4-month term, starting in May 2026.
Accountabilities
Assist with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) data formatting to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for analysis and reporting
Prepare and structure spatial data for geodatabase loading, following correct data models, and naming conventions
Support the team with basic GIS tasks, including mapping, data checks, and updates
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution pursuing a degree or diploma in technology, geomatics, environmental science, or a related field
Previous experience with GIS support and working on an environmental project is considered an asset
Experience with SQL Server is considered an asset
