OVERVIEW
The Coordinator Assistant reports directly to the Director of Development and supports the Community Engagement team across various areas including events, fundraising, volunteer management, adoptions, and customer service. The ideal candidate enjoys public interaction and presents as confident, outgoing, and positive.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License/access to reliable transportation
Strong team player with the ability to take direction
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Positive and professional demeanor
Comfortable using computer programs and databases (training provided)
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools is an asset
Experience in customer service is an asset
Previous work in a non-profit setting is an asset
Skills in sales, adoptions, relationship-building, and/or public engagement are beneficial
Relevant post-secondary education is considered an asset
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Foster and Volunteer Coordinator and Community Engagement Coordinator with volunteer and animal supervision during events
Transport animals and materials to and from events, supporting on-site adoption efforts
Help plan and organize events with a strong attention to detail
Provide administrative support
Pick up necessary event materials from offsite vendors
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
Participate in promotional activities as needed
Provide orientation and assistance to volunteers
Participate in media opportunities (TV/radio) as needed
Capture and upload photos to various platforms
Other duties as assigned
