Electricians from level 2 apprentices to level 4 apprentices, are invited to apply with IBEW Local 2038 for active employment opportunities in South Saskatchewan.
Applicants residing outside of Saskatchewan need not apply. The IBEW follows a community employment policy wherein applicants must apply to the IBEW Local Union Hall in the jurisdiction where they reside. If you would like help locating the Local where you reside please don't hesitate to inquire.
As an apprentice the most desired assets are good work ethic, positive attitude, willingness to learn and assist a qualified Journeyperson in assigned duties.
Responsibilities include; showing up with an eager ready to learn attitude. That is all.
Apprentices will not be running a crew, responsible for the work of others, working alone and/or unsupervised, repeating the same tasks for weeks/months on end, requested to delay or postpone technical training when given the opportunity attend Sask Polytechnic. Apprentices will not be expected to attend site with the skills and knowledge of a Journeyperson Electrician.
Apprentices will be expected to advance their experience in the trade to one day become well rounded Journeypersons with a diversified skill set.
