Description

Le John Farms is a fourth-generation family farm specializing in the growing, processing, and retailing of pedigreed seed. Our farm is located approximately 25 minutes northwest of Saskatoon, with our seed cleaning facility located north of Martensville along Highway 12.

Responsibilities
Follow all on-farm safety protocols
Operate a variety of farm equipment, including:
    o Land rollers, mowers, tillage equipment
    o Seeding, spraying, and harvesting equipment
    o Forklifts and various trucks and hauling units
Perform equipment cleaning, routine maintenance, and minor repairs
Move seed and grain, including loading and unloading trucks
Follow cleaning procedures for trucks and equipment to prevent seed contamination
Complete general yard duties (cleaning shops, yards, and bins)
Assist with construction and improvement projects as required

Qualifications
Prior experience operating farm or heavy equipment is required
Agricultural background is an asset but not mandatory
Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness to work longer days during peak seasons
High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset)
A skilled trade is considered an asset
Valid Class 5 drivers licence required; Class 1 licence is an asset
Ability to lift up to 55 lbs
Friendly, patient, and courteous when interacting with customers

Longer days are required during busy periods such as seeding, spraying, and harvest. However, the seasonal nature of the business also provides flexibility. Applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts during peak times. We are willing to train the right candidate. Competitive wages and flexible work arrangements are offered.
