Description

The Ministry of Social Services invests in positive outcomes for individuals and families through income support, disability services, affordable housing, and child and family programs. As a Child Protection Supervisor in Rosetown, you will join a dedicated team that delivers protective, preventative, and support services using the Family Centered Case Management Model, while benefiting from competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, flexible work arrangements, and advancement opportunities.

The ministry is seeking a dynamic, relationshipfocused leader who is devoted to improving the wellbeing of children and families. The successful candidate will supervise, train, coach, and support Child and Family Program staff, ensuring highquality service delivery. They will lead change initiatives, provide Structured Decision Making training to ministry and community partners, and guide the implementation of policies and procedures. This role involves collaborating with colleagues and management to continuously enhance programs, meeting service standards, responding to stakeholder inquiries, and representing the ministry on committees.

The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of child protection issues, socioeconomic factors affecting families, and culturally responsive practice, with emphasis on First Nations and Metis communities. They will have experience providing leadership to diverse teams, applying familycentered case management, and supporting complex case planning. A Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work (SASW/CASW or CASWE approved) is required, along with several years of child protection experience and supervision of professional staff. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
