Job Description
The Gym & Front Desk Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role includes front desk operations, member support, facility cleaning, and communication with staff and management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Greet and welcome members and guests in person and by phone
Check members into classes, training sessions, and facility bookings
Manage bookings, leads, and member profiles using the Glofox system
Contact new leads every other day
Process transactions through the gym system (cash and card handling)
Ensure memberships and payments are current and follow up when required
Perform custodial duties including:
Cleaning and restocking washrooms
Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
Wiping down equipment
Emptying garbage
Washing, drying, and folding towels
Replace access fobs, update member accounts, and manage guest registrations
Communicate concerns, damaged equipment, or issues to management
Multitask and complete additional duties as assigned by Directors
Qualifications and Skills
Valid resume with references
Ability to work between 6:00 AM 10:00 PM, including weekends
Reliable and punctual
Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Proficient computer skills (Word and Excel); Glofox experience is an asset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Certifications and Requirements
Current CPR, AED, and Level C First Aid certification
Valid Drivers License
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
Experience in a gym or fitness environment is an asset
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout shift
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs as required for cleaning and setup
