Description

Responsibilities:
Plan, implement and supervise daycare activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children in the program.  
Supervise and assist Daycare Workers in: developing daily activity plans, providing nutritious snacks and lunches, coordinating sleep and rest time, establishing acceptable disciplinary policies, and guiding/assisting children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits.  
Develop programs and activities that are culturally appropriate, introduce math and literacy concepts and provide various experiences for children including songs, games and storytelling.  
Provide input into activity planning and provide support and direction to Daycare Workers regarding child development.  
Provide weekly and monthly schedules of activities.  
Manage Daycare Workers' resources effectively to promote a positive team atmosphere.  
Maintain a welcoming, safe and healthy environment for children and their parents or caregivers.  
Regularly contact, liaise with and act as a resource for parents and caregivers; keeping parents informed of program expectations, program activities and their child's progress.
Requirements:
College Diploma in Early Childhood Education Diploma (ECE).  
5 years of experience as a Daycare Worker.  
2 years of experience in a Manager position.  
First Aid and CPR Certification
Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures to ensure that children are supervised and safe at all times.  
Must be able to provide a satisfactory a Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check.
