Red Pheasant Cree Nation has an exciting opportunity of employment within their Eagle Hills Daycare, as a Child Care Worker. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the children receive the proper care and attention, following the plan set forth to foster the holistic development of all children in the highest possible regard.

Job Description:
-Support the vision of the Daycare in ensuring that the ongoing needs of children are being met, while maintaining an environment that is nurturing, stimulating, and culturally grounded.
-Provide children with age-appropriate activities and programs.
-Assist with preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for the children; ensures food handling and storage follows appropriate safety guidelines.
-Monitor behavioural issues and respond appropriately ensuring that children are safe.
-Complete ad hoc or regular reports
-Maintain confidentiality and privacy of child/family information.

Attributes:
-Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
-Able to connect well with children
-Patient and flexible in all interactions, both with children and co-workers
-Strong Problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in a group setting
-Strong sense of community with a focus on connectivity
-Great team player, takes direction well

Qualification/Certifications:
-Post Secondary education in a related field
-CPR/First Aid
-Training in behavioural and crisis management is an asset.
-All successful candidates must have a positive report from a criminal record check under the vulnerable sector
