Avena Foods is seeking an HR Coordinator on a 10-month term to support human resources processes in Regina. This role focuses on HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, payroll support, policy administration, and HR projects. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Key Responsibilities
-Assist with HR policies, compliance with federal/provincial laws, and maintain Employee Handbook & Code of Conduct.
-Prepare reports to ensure adherence to regulations.
-Create and maintain job descriptions, aligning roles with NOC codes.
-Support recruitment: draft/post job ads, schedule interviews, pre-screen, conduct reference checks, and prepare offer letters.
-Manage onboarding: review policies, benefits, payroll forms.
-Maintain accurate personnel files and organizational charts.
-Provide backup support to the Manager, Payroll & Admin.
-Assist with HR projects: process improvements, employee engagement, special programs.
-Review HR processes and recommend improvements.
-Perform other HR duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
-Bachelors degree/diploma in HR, Administration, or related field.
-HR experience, ideally in recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and projects.
-Strong organizational and time management skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
