Job Order Detail

Description

-Ensuring compliance with all railway rules and regulations related to safety and operations.
-Providing and receiving oral and printed instructions concerning the movement and placement of rail cars.
-Building and splitting up trains in the yard, setting off cars, switching cars, spotting cars to required customer tracks
-Position includes both freight and passenger trains
-Inspecting the condition of a train and equipment
-Communicating daily with customers regarding spotting requirements

-Work outdoors in all weather conditions including snow, ice, rain, cold and heat.
-Applicants are required to hold a valid drivers license. Employment is conditional upon passing CROR rules qualification and railway medical.
-Prior qualification and experience as a conductor is a requirement.
