Description

The summer student position is located at West Central Pelleting Ltd. Wilkie Head Office for the first 2 weeks of training then travel will commence for the remaining 15 weeks around Southern Saskatchewan. The position is directly responsible to the General Manager.
The summer student position will receive an hourly wage plus mileage and other expenses. Hours will be 40 hours per week starting May 4, 2026 and concluding August 28, 2026.
The summer student regularly communicates with the Sales and Logistics Coordinator with respect to:
Route planning
Customer contact
Customer needs
Data collection
Customer concerns
New customer concerns
Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements:
Currently enrolled in a recognized Agricultural Discipline or related field
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Proficient in computer skills required by WCP  Windows, Word, and Excel
Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to interact with all types of people
Must be able to get along with co-workers, customers, vendors and visitors
Ability to work as a team player
A safety orientated attitude
Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong work habits
Possess a valid class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record
Own a dependable vehicle
Willingness to travel throughout Saskatchewan
Willingness to do extended overnight travel

Core Duties
Communicate with customers their importance to WCP.
Understands and promotes WCP Product Lines.
Adheres to all WCP Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
Collect data on current and potential customers.
