The Saskatchewan Ministry of Health is looking for an experienced Public Health Nurse to join our team.
As a member of the Population Health Branch, you will work with a team of professionals responsible for providing consultation, technical expertise, provincial policy development, performance monitoring and coordination related to public health and communicable disease prevention and control.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Saskatchewan Health Authority and federal colleagues to strengthen provincial communicable disease policies, guidelines, education and awareness.
Specifically, you will:
-Provide support to program monitoring and evaluation activities related to communicable disease prevention and control;
-Provide policy analysis and formulate new policy proposals related to communicable disease prevention and control;
-Provide a public health nursing perspective in communicable disease prevention and control initiatives; and
-Participate on internal and external committees that support collaboration with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, other government ministries and federal government partners.
The successful candidate will have or be eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) and possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, with course credits in Public Health Nursing, complemented by a minimum of 3 years of experience working in public health nursing. Public health nursing experience must include working specifically in disease prevention and control. A sound understanding of public health and population health theories and methods is required.
