Description

SOFIA House is a second and third stage housing organization in Regina providing safe housing and support for women, gender-diverse individuals, and children escaping domestic violence. Our work is grounded in feminist, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive values, with a focus on dignity, safety, and long-term stability.

We are seeking an Executive Director who is an empathetic, community-minded leader committed to advancing the wellbeing of women and children. This position is based in Regina and requires onsite work.

In collaboration with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will:
- Lead implementation of the organizations strategic plan and steward financial sustainability
- Provide senior leadership for a feminist organization delivering second and third stage housing
- Oversee organizational operations including staff leadership, human resources, programming, and partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, funders, and government partners
- Work collaboratively with staff, management, the Board, and external stakeholders
- Act as an organizational spokesperson and support education and awareness on interpersonal violence

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, a minimum of five years of leadership or management experience, demonstrated financial and people leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in complex or crisis-informed environments.
