Description

The RM of Britannia No. 502 is looking for hard-working, versatile individuals who thrive in getting the job done right & who are not afraid to jump into whatever the day demands.  If you can run a semi-truck, perhaps even operate a dozer, buggy and/or track hoe & yet can assist the maintenance crew with flagging, mowing or shoveling, & switch between tasks with ease, you might be exactly who we need.

What you'll do:
Operate semi-truck for hauling materials & equipment
Assist with general maintenance and construction activities
Troubleshoot problems on the fly, adapt to changing jobsite needs
Work independently & as part of a team to keep projects moving smoothly
Service & repair equipment as needed or assist with repairs
Report for duty at Hillmond Shop located in Hillmond, SK (approx. 40 km from Lloydminster)

What we're looking for:
Mandatory: 3-4 years experience operating semi-tractor/trailer unit with gravel trailer (valid Sask. Class 1 drivers license (or equivalent) with air endorsement)
Experience in construction or with operating heavy equipment (dozer, buggy, track hoe, grader, packer, tractor, snow plow truck) considered an asset, with the ability to safely operate all equipment
Strong work ethic & willingness to take on diverse tasks
Understanding of directions, particularly legal land descriptions and/or Township and Range Roads would be an asset
Mechanical aptitude is a plus
Reliable, punctual, & safety-focused
Must demonstrate strong verbal & written English communication skills (daily paperwork requirements)
Self-starter who isn't afraid to sweep floors
