Accounting Technician
McDougall Auctioneers Ltd is looking for a full-time Accounting Technician to work in a busy auction house in our Emerald Park location. The successful candidate will have exceptional time management skills and strong organizational skills. With the fast-paced environment we work in, the successful applicant will be a strong multi-tasker with the ability to pay attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Enter approved accounts payable invoices into Sage 300
Ensure vendors are paid in a timely manner
Obtain all visa receipts and match to visa statement prior to entering and reconciling
Allocate costs to correct GL accounts
Prepare Journal entry
Enter payments on customer accounts
Communicate with vendors as required
Independently resolve outstanding accounts payable issues
Balancing prepaid and accounts receivable accounts
Maintain filing and record systems
Education and Skill Requirements:
Completion of Accounting certificate or diploma
1-2 years accounts payable experience
Attention to detail
Exceptional time management and strong organizational skills
Multi-tasking abilities
Effective communication
Experience in Excel
Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced working environment
