Description

Position Responsibilities:
Report directly to the Recreation Practitioner and the Director of Recreation & Parks.
Adhere to and apply staff policies practices, and procedures of the FunZone summer program.
Plan, develop, and deliver recreational and leisure activities to children aged 5-12.
Supervise children for the duration of the program hours and ensure safety and confidentiality of all
participants.
Act as a positive role model to participants at all times.
Maintain respectful and effective communication with parents/guardians of participants.
Ensure the cleanliness of Lions Park by collecting litter and encouraging participants to clean up after
themselves and others.
To maintain sufficient stock of all programming supplies and to order or pick up more supplies as needed.
Oversee the FunZone social media page, creating and sharing content to the public.
Encourage the participation and inclusion of all children.
Ensure all written reports on accidents, incidents, or registration are completed and turned over to the
Recreation Practitioner and Director of Recreation & Parks.
Perform additional duties and provide additional support as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications/skills include:
It is expected that ALL applicants will include copies of all current certifications and awards when they apply.
Experience working with children is preferred
Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C is an asset
Valid Class 5 Drivers License is an asset
Young Workers Readiness Course(if applicable)
