A skilled cook that will prepare daily meals for the outreach centre (Awasiw). The applicant will hold a valid Food Safe Level 1 certificate. Duties include preparing breakfast and lunch, preparing meals and lunches, following food health and safety procedures. Cook, clean, and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in a team environment and various cooking methods preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
Cleaning, and organizing kitchen before and after food preparation
Cooking meals according to the SK Health Authority food health and safety standards
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to manage time efficiently
Delivering and serving food in the Outreach centre
Storing all food properly
Sanitizing and cleaning the kitchen on a regular basis, keeping a sanitary and orderly environment in the kitchen
Work with the Food Security Manager to ensure the kitchen is well stocked with required supplies
Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift
Self-motivated and self-directed
Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Previous experience as a cook
Able to bend, move, and lift up to 25 pounds or more
Police Record Check required
Drivers license and vehicle
Other duties as required
