Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and the Sexual Violence Victim Advocate, the Public Education and Outreach position is responsible for the research, development and delivery of awareness and prevention education to a diverse range of community agencies and professionals, including wellness fairs, committees and research projects. Additionally, this position works collaboratively with the SVVA and partner agencies to design and implement awareness and fundraising campaigns.
The successful applicant will have previous experience with researching and developing presentations, have an approachable, empathetic and trauma-informed communication style, an ability to meet people where they are at and ability to deliver nuanced and respectful presentations that support learning outcomes and collaborative approaches to safety.
