Responsibilities:
- Analyze systematic supply/demand and ensure timely delivery of products that align with production.
- Prepare purchase orders for manufacturing and engineering.
- Prepare purchase orders for consumable and MRO items.
- Monitor and administrate vendor managed inventory including vending machines.
- Generate open purchase order report(s) and follow up with vendors regarding expected time of arrival.
- Create and share forecasts with suppliers on a quarterly basis.
- Communicate cost or term changes from vendors to the supply chain manager.
- Identify potential suppliers and/or optimization of the supply chain and discuss with manager.
- With direction from the manager, quote and negotiate prices with current and potential suppliers.
- Ensure the ERP system has accurate part and vendor information and update if necessary.
- Communicate and coordinate defective goods with suppliers and the quality team.
- Initiate cycle counts and coordinate removal of obsolete inventory.
- Grow professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide suggestions and innovative ways to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Meeting and collaborating with management to assess reliability of suppliers and vendors, and to identify solutions for ongoing problems.
- Work with accounting to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Process engineering change requests and communicate changes with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient understanding of materials and services procurement.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient people skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
