Help keep our citys most important spaces clean, safe, and welcoming. As a Facility Caretaker, youll play a hands-on role in maintaining recreation centers, City Hall, and Engineering and Works Yard facilities. Youll work independently, take pride in your work, and ensure our buildings operate smoothly for staff and the public.
About the Role
- Perform daily heavyduty cleaning, minor repairs, and general building maintenance.
-Monitor boilers and mechanical systems, reporting issues promptly.
-Handle cleaning chemicals safely and maintain accurate maintenance records.
-Support facility operations with room setups, deliveries, and groundskeeping.
-Work independently, follow safety regulations, and ensure facilities remain secure.
What You Bring
-Grade 10 or GED, plus caretaking experience.
-Firemans Certificate (for applicable facilities) and willingness to obtain lift certification.
-Knowledge of cleaning practices, chemical safety, and boiler regulations.
-Physical ability for lifting, climbing, and handson maintenance tasks.
-Valid Class 5 license and ability to work shifts.
