Description

The office for the Town of Arborfield and the Rural Municipality of Arborfield #456 is needing a qualified Municipal Administrator to help cover a maternity leave.  
This position can be part-time or full-time, depending on the candidates availability to cover a 10-12 month leave. This candidate is needed to fulfill the legislated duties of a municipal administrator.
The official start date will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Depending on the selected applicants certification level and experience, training may begin in February or March of 2026.
- The Town of Arborfield has a population of 285, and a total assessed value of 20,305,400. Operations are led by four council members and mayor: with one full-time foreman and one part-time assistant foreman.
- The Rural Municipality of Arborfield No. 456 has a population of 338, and a total assessed value of 320,780,000. Operations are led by five council members and reeve: with two full-time grader/equipment operators and one seasonal operator.
- The Municipal Office is located in Arborfield, SK and is open Monday to Thursday 8:00am  4:00pm and Friday 8:00am  3:00pm. Office hours may be flexible in the summertime, depending on availability of Administrator.
- Both offices have an experience casual administrative assistant to help with the day-to-day operations.
The Administrator reports directly to the separate Councils for the Rural Municipality of Arborfield No. 456 and Town of Arborfield and works cooperatively with Council and maintenance staff of both municipalities.
Qualifications:
    A certificate in Local Government Authority
    Must be qualified to work as Administrator in an Urban and a Rural municipality.
    Minimum Standard Certificate of qualification with UMAAS and
    Minimum Rural Class C certificate with RMAA.
    Experience in Municipal Administration
    Experience with Munisoft computer software.
