Reporting to the warehouse supervisor you will be responsible for performing routine daily warehouse functions such as:
-Issuing materials from various warehouse facilities.
-Responding to wicket traffic.
-Incoming inspections and stocking.
-Shipping and receiving.
-Inventory cycle counts and data entry.
-Loading and off-loading of all general freight.
-Using a handheld device and reporting in Excel.
-Collaborating to improve work processes.
-Providing training and support to junior employees.
-Other general warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements of the position:
-grade 12 education or equivalent;
-a minimum of five years of related work experience in an industrial warehouse environment;
-previous experience in various warehouse processes such as job kitting, cycle counting and MRP review;
-equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered;
-advanced computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and an ERP system (SAP preferred);
-forklift and loader operator certification;
-valid Class 5 drivers license;
-excellent written and verbal communication skills;
-experience using software and mobile technology to perform daily warehouse activities; and
-must work a rotational work schedule and commute to site by aircraft.
Assets:
-experience working with SAP; and
-previous training in first aid, WHMIS, and transportation of dangerous goods.
