Description

Ilarion Seniors Residence is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership to a dynamic seniors' residence.

The Executive Director is a high level position, reporting to the Board of Directors, requiring a minimum of five years' related work experience. Working in a seniors' home would be preferred experience; however, successful managerial experience in other industries will be considered. Knowledge of Ukrainian customs and traditions is an asset.

Key Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans in conjunction with the Board of Directors.
- Overall leadership of a team of 20.
- Hiring and supervising managers and staff.
- Ensuring compliance with legislation, regulations, and safety standards.
- Managing in a financially sound manner.
- Ensuring building, chattels, and operations are maintained in a safe manner.
- Ensuring good working relationship with tenants.
- Ensuring good working relationship with the Ukrainian Orthodox Community.

Qualifications:
Bachelor\Masters degree in one of the following:
- Management\Accounting.
- Business Administration.
- Nursing\Social Work.
- Public Health.
- Other related fields.
- Experience in related fields will be considered.

Skills:
- Understanding and knowledge of seniors living.
- Customer service oriented.
- Able to manage people - ability to form relationships with team, residents, and families.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to make informed decisions.
- Willingness to take calculated risks.
- Excellent detail and organization skills.
- Ability to delegate and prioritize.
- Financial management, reporting, and budget skills.
