Position Responsibilities:
Report to the Recreation Practitioner and Director of Recreation & Parks.
Plan, deliver, and evaluate all aquatic programs and events for the season.
Supervise, schedule, train, mentor, and discipline aquatic staff as required.
Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, safety standards, and emergency response plans.
Manage facility operations, including opening/closing procedures, water chemistry, cleaning schedules, equipment checks, and pool rules.
Oversee budgets, financial procedures, cash outs, and required record keeping.
Coordinate in-service training and participate in hands-on programming and facility supervision.
Manage communications, including social media, email correspondence, and handling complaints professionally.
Complete and submit all required reports, inspections, and documentation for the Town, Public Health, and Lifesaving Society.
Prepare year-end evaluations and recommendations; perform additional duties as assigned.

Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard Certification
Bronze Medallion/Cross Certification
Swim for Life Instructor
Lifesaving Instructor Certification (LSI)
Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C
Aquatic Emergency Care is an asset
Pool Operators Certificate is an asset
Previous managerial/supervisory experience preferably with aquatic facilities
Cash handling and budget experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills; and
Computer literacy skills.
