Description

Employment: Full Time (30+ hours per week), Temporary from February 23 to July 3
Compensation: $21.50-25.00 per hour
Application Deadline: February 11, 2026
Start Date: February 23, 2026
Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday, flexibility required

SCP is seeking an RCY Caseworker (4 months, temporary)

What You'll Do

-Build supportive relationships with youth while maintaining professional boundaries
-Provide role modeling and mentoring rooted in strength-based, trauma-informed approaches
-Develop, implement, and review Case Management Plans for a caseload of 6 to 7 youth
-Support youth goals (appointments, family/peer relationships, community/cultural/educational activities, resource access)
-Advocate for youth and mediate conflicts
-Track outcomes, maintain files, complete daily case notes and monthly reports
-Write incident reports and complete admin duties
-Collaborate on individual/group programming
-Attend RCY staff meetings and contribute to SCP initiatives, events, and fundraising

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

-Secondary completion required; post-secondary preferred (or equivalent experience)
-Minimum 1 year frontline youth care experience
-Training/experience in: Indigenous youth and gang-involved individuals; youth mentorship; community program development; government/non-profit collaboration; substance use, mental health, crisis response
-Strong interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills

Additional Requirements:

-Class 5 Driver's License with Driver's Abstract
-Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance
-Familiarity with SCP's core approaches: Harm Reduction, Youth Centred Care, Nurtured Heart, Trauma Informed Practice
-CPR/First Aid (B), Conflict Resolution and Crisis Intervention is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
