Description

JESK Electric LTD is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to work in our Saskatoon office. This is an in-office position (not remote)
Experience working in construction with multiple large projects.

Key Responsibilities

Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including Accounts Payable, Accounts
Receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance

GST, PST, Employee Deduction Submission

Managing payroll, taxes, preparation of T4s, ROEs ensuring adherence to accounting standards.

Handle a large volume of data entry

Handle administrative tasks such as filing, scanning and records management

Complete bank and credit card reconciliations

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes

Identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions

Support year-end review and external accountant requests

Assist with process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Maintain confidentiality of company financial information

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

3+ years of full-cycle accounting

Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (Required) & Knowify (preferred)

Experience in construction or contracting environments is strongly preferred

Experience working in a construction or trade-based business with multiple active job numbers and project costing is considered a strong asset

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Professional communication skills and reliability
