An EDO should be able to identify opportunities for business retention, expansion, and attraction.
Support community revitalization, tourism, and workforce development initiatives
Collect and analyze local economic data to support informed decision making.
Identify, apply for, and administer provincial, federal, and private funding programs
Prepare reports, track outcomes, and ensure compliance with funding requirements.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Duties
Attend scheduled board and committee meetings
Review proposals, budgets, and funding requests related to economic development, recreation, tourism, and community planning
Provide local knowledge and rural perspectives
Act as an ambassador for the community's economic development, recreation, tourism, and community planning opportunities
Support long-term planning aligned with municipal and community priorities
Uphold ethical governance practices and confidentiality
