Description

The La Loche Housing Authority is currently recruiting a full-time Administrative Assistant, Level 2 to join their team.  Working closely with the Manager and Tenant Services, you will build and maintain professional working relationships with tenants, the public, Board of Directors, and other department staff.  

The Position:
-Provide information for Board packages and annual budget, and participate in Board Meetings as required
-Ensure accurate and timely submission of financial and operational records, proper security of cash deposits, payment vouchers, and responsibility of accounts receivable and accounts payable
-Review and recommend housing applications for Board approval, conduct income reviews, ensure rents are collected, arrears action plans are developed, and move-ins and move-outs are completed in a timely manner
-Manage tenant-related concerns and assist the Tenant Relations Officer with issues regarding tenant associations and compliance with lease agreements
-Manage the Administrative Assistant and oversee daily activities of team

Responsibilities and Requirements:
-Ability to manage stressful situations, problem solve, and manage conflict
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Exceptional client relations skills and the ability to deal tactfully and courteously with the public
-Strong leadership and supervisory experience

Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and some experience in accounting, bookkeeping and financial analysis OR an equivalent combination of education and experience  
-A valid drivers license, reliable, roadworthy vehicle, and an approved Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) criminal record check are conditions of employment
