Description

Meeting Lake Regional Park is seeking a Park Manager. This position is for a mature, responsible individual that is a hands-on leader who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with the public, and takes pride in maintaining the park. Position would include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the park, ensuring staff keep the grounds maintained, working with cabin owners, seasonal, and non-seasonal renters to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the park. This is a contract position with the opportunity to be renewed on a yearly basis.  The start date is April 1 until approximately the end of September. A valid drivers license is required.
The successful candidate for this position should have:  
Good oral and written communication skills
Good working knowledge of computers and using Google Docs and Teams
Experience with cash handling, using a POS system, answering the park phone and emails
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, be a positive team leader, and work independently
Attention to detail and good organizational skills
The ability to adapt and be flexible depending on the situation
Well approachable with well-developed interpersonal skills, with staff and the public
Purchasing maintenance supplies
Supervise and lead seasonal park staff in the day-to-day operations and maintenance
Inspect park grounds and facilities for safety or maintenance concerns and address them promptly
Experience operating small and large equipment (mowers, tractors, etc.)
Assisting with special events and park programs
Maintain accurate records for park operations and maintenance schedules
Research and apply for available grants and manage all park permit applications in cooperation with Administrators
Communicate with the Maintenance Lead
Communicate bylaws and policies to park users
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends during peak times or events
Wage or salary will be determined based on experience
